YOUTH PROGRAMS
Alpha Knights!

Led by Children's Church Pastor James Altom, the Alpha Knights program is a scripture-based, visual way of explaining and demonstrating God's principles.

Children who wish to become Alpha Knights are symbolically "knighted" with a real sword, and their lives are claimed in the name of Jesus. As they kneel before God and their peers, the promises of God are spoken over them.

They participate in knight-related craft projects designed to reinforce Godly character traits and moral values.  Some recent projects include:

The "Coat of Arms" contest reinforced a good self-image and encouraged families to work together to discuss their family values and create a coat of arms that portrayed those values.

In the Alpha Knight sword contest, they created cardboard swords and chose scripture verses to write on them to demonstrate the message that "we war not against flesh and blood" and that weapons of our warfare are in the Word of God.

We remind the kids that as warriors for God they are at their strongest when they are on their knees before Him, and we reinforce the principle that since God is with us, they need never be afraid.

Kids can earn prizes, candy and T-shirts based on their participation in the program.  New contests and prizes keep the kids interested and excited.

Our teens are given the opportunity to "knight" the younger children, one teen handling the symbolic sword and the other praying over the child.

Alpha Knights earn the opportunity to go on field trips like the Zoo, the Science Center, swimming, etc. after meeting the objectives of a contest.

The Alpha Knight program is created to emphasize biblical principles and their relationship to God, and to encourage the children to have high standards in their lives.  We continue to seek Him for fresh approaches to train our children to live victorious lives in Jesus Christ.

  Crocodile Dock

This past July Alpha & Omega provided an opportunity for kids to grow closer to God through the Crocodile Dock Vacation Bible School program.  Approximately 40 children attended, and had a great time learning bible truth’s .

Lessons were taught interactively through crafts, games, bible stories, video show’s and even in snacks.   Many adults participated as classroom teachers, group leaders, and supportive roles.  Adults interacted in all areas, and had as much fun as the kids did!
